- Air force Technical College, Bangalore
A contingent of 64 cadets of class VIII visited AFTC Bangalore, as to motivate them to have first-hand exposure to the reputed Indian Air force. The team was highly motivated by the pristine campus and the hospitality of co-ordination team and the officers at AFTC. An introductory speech about AFTC was delivered to explain various training courses in the force and the session was found very informative. A documentary video depicting about AFTC was also screened.
The cadets visited the following venues at AFTC.
(i) Aircraft landing and usage of radar
(ii) Telephone radio transmission and communication
(iii) Different aircraft engines and their parts, fuel combination chambers
(iv) Disaster management with aircrafts
(v) Carrying explosives, rockets in aircraft
(vi) Qualification for various opportunities to join air force.
After visiting all the venues, Cadets learnt
(a) How communication taken place from land to air
(b) Different air craft engines , their parts and usage
(c) How radar helps in detecting nearby aircrafts through signals
(d) Career in Air force through AFCAT , NDA
2. Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum, Bangalore
It is a place of knowledge where students have fun learning science. It houses a treasure trove of machines and artifacts related to science and technology. Its interactive exhibits make this a great place for cadets to develop a love for science and technology. There are exhibition Halls on Engines, Electricity, Fun
Science, Space, Biotechnology & Electronics. Animated dinosaurs, a life-size model of the Wright Brothers' flyer and a Steam locomotive are other attractions and made the students think about it.
There are interesting shows like 'Science on a sphere', 'Tramadol', '3d film show' and 'Science show' held at regular intervals. The 'Science for Kids' gallery is the new addition to the Museum. This is a place designed for tiny tots to play unhindered and engage with science.

iii. 3D show of life underneath the sea
iv. Generations of computers with devices
v. Solar power energy utilization in agriculture and other areas.
