Katari House is named after the first chief of the Indian Naval Staff Vice Admiral Ramdas Katari. We are immensely pleased to present the House Report for the year 2013-14. The highlights of our house achievements :

It is indeed a matter of great honour for me to make a prime mention that we have won six championships, which I feel, a pinnacle of success. We stood first in the Inter House English Debate Competition in which Cdt.Shivaraj and Athul bagged second and third prize respectively. Cadet Vidyasagar has bagged first place in Kannada Debate Competition whereas Punith secured second position in English Elocution competition. Cadet Hanumant secured first position in Inter House English and Kannada Essay Writing Competition. Cadet Nivedita bagged first position in Inter House English Declamation and Hindi Elocution Competition. Cadet Amit secured third place in Kannada Debate Competition. The team of Cadet Vishwanath, Ravikesh and Rishikesh secured second place in Quiz Competition. Cadet Hanumanth and Vidyasagar bagged first and second position in Inter House Slogan Writing Competition conducted during the Communal Harmony Week. Our House was the champion in Inter House Cultural competition. Cadet Vidyasagar bagged second place in solo song.
GAMES AND SPORTS
We won five championships in games and sports namely Inter House Football, Volleyball, Basket ball, Cross Country and NCC Drill competition. We stood second in Inter House Hockey and Annual Athletic meet. Cadet Prasad was adjudged the â€˜Best Athleteâ€™ for the year 2013-14 for his performance in Annual Athletic Meet. He secured first and second place in 100 mtrs. Track event and long jump. Cadet Amit secured first place in Triple Jump. Cadet Naveen bagged first place in 1500 Mtr Track event and second in Discuss Throw. Cadet Sharanabasav and Ravikesh secured third place in 200 Mtr track event and Shot Put. Our Relay Team stood second during the Annual Athletic Meet. Cadet Naveen, Shivanand and Krishna were awarded with a gold medal for standing second and fourth in the Inter House Cross Country Competition in the junior and sub junior category respectively. I conclude this report with a hope that our house will not let down the house spirit and march ahead with the same enthusiasm. I express my deep gratitude towards our House Master who supported and motivated in all aspects. At last I thank all the cadets of the House for their good will and cooperation. I also thank the cadets of Katari House Junior for their efforts and enthusiasm.

I feel delighted to mention the extraordinary achievements in Inter House Literary Competition of the cadets of our House as they have secured maximum prizes in this category. We stood first in Inter House English Debate and Elocution, Kannada Elocution and Debate, Hindi Essay writing, Quiz, Hindi Elocution and Debate Competitions with Cadet Sanjay, Naveen, Jagadish, Abhishek, Pundlinga, Sachin, Mansoor, Dinesh, Sandhya, Vivek securing first place. Cadet Ujjwal secured second place in English Debate and Cadet Sandeep bagged second in Kannada Elocution competition. Cadet Sanjay secured second place in Inter House English Debate Competition.

We stood second in Inter House Football competition and secured second and third place in Volleyball and Annual Athletic Meet. Cadet Vinayak bagged first place in 100 Mtr and 400 Mtr track events and Triple Jump. He was honored with the â€˜Best Athleteâ€™ prize for sweeping three gold medals in three different events during the Annual Athletic Meet 2013-14. Cadet Apekshit secured second place in High Jump and Cadet Mansoor bagged second place in 800 Mtr track event. Cadet Gandhiprasad and Ujjwal secured second and third place in 3000 Mtr and 1500 Mtr track events, which was a boost to raise the House Medal tally. Cadet Ganesh and Rupesh were awarded with gold medal for their extraordinary run during Inter House Cross Country Championship. I conclude my report by extending my deep gratitude towards our House Master for his support and guidance who motivated us and kindled true House spirit. I hope in the forthcoming years our House will go ahead with the same spirit and enthusiasm. I hope we shall continue to bring laurels to our House in future too.
