1. Objectives:
Foster Naval Awareness: Provide cadets an opportunity to learn about India’s maritime heritage, naval operations, and scientific advancements.
Encourage Intellectual Growth: Develop analytical thinking, teamwork, and a competitive spirit among cadets.
National Representation: Offer a prestigious platform for cadets to represent Sainik School Kodagu at a national level.
Instill Core Values: Promote courage, curiosity, and commitment in alignment with the ethos of Sainik Schools and the Indian Navy.
Strengthen Mentor–Cadet Bond: Encourage teacher-led guidance and support in achieving excellence through dedication and discipline.

3. Summary of the Event:
The National Level Indian Navy Quiz – ThinQ 2025 was held at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, on 4 and 5 November 2025, under the aegis of the Indian Navy. Centered on the theme MAHASAGAR – Maritime Heads for Active Security And Growth for All in the Region, the competition brought together brilliant young minds from across the country for intellectually stimulating rounds on naval history, maritime awareness, science, technology, and general knowledge.
Cadets Dhruva V. Bharadwaj and Achal Thenua of Class IX, Sainik School Kodagu, showcased exceptional intellect, composure, and teamwork, advancing to the Semifinals among strong national contenders. They were felicitated by Vice Admiral Manish Chadda, AVSM, VSM, Commandant, INA Ezhimala, and had the honour of interacting with Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, PVSM, AVSM, NM, Chief of the Naval Staff, who lauded their curiosity, confidence, and zeal for learning.
4. Conclusion:
The participation and performance of Cadets Dhruva V. Bharadwaj and Achal Thenua at ThinQ–2025 reflected the spirit of excellence and discipline that define Sainik School Kodagu, bringing laurels to the institution and inspiring fellow cadets to aim higher while upholding the school’s core values of Courage, Curiosity, and Commitment.
