National Science Day is a great occasion to highlight the importance of science in the world and to encourage the young minds to take up this subject. To create the awareness among the students in addressing global issues and to promote global well being, Brahmagiri Sahodaya Complex, Kodagu observed “National Science Day – Vasundhara” on 02 March 2023 at SMS academy of central education, Aramery. Col G Kannan, Principal Sainik School Kodagu graced the occasion as the chief guest. He addressed the participants ingraining in them scientific zeal and temper.
Cdt. Tejas, Cdt. Gitesh, Cdt.Nishanth, Cdt. Jishnu of class VIII, Cdt. Mayuka and Cdt. Gagandeep of class VII gave a presentation on the topic “ Sun –The shine for life” under the Guidance of Mr.Subbarangaiah N, TGT Science. The cadets prepared their presentation with innovative ideas and presented in such a way that every participant appreciated and convinced about the major role played by the sun in the web of life. 15 cadets of the school also witnessed the event. A total of six CBSE schools from Kodagu district participated in the event. This provided the participants an opportunity to have an exposure to the nuances of presentation in a science fest.
