The Rani Chennamma House, exclusively constructed for the girl cadets of our school was inaugurated by Dr Malathi Priya M, Indian Forest Service, Conservator of Forests, Mysore Circle on 20 Apr 2023, at the beginning of the academic year 2023-24. Shri B Srinivas, M.Tech.,(Str), IIT, Madras, Superintending Engineer, CPWD, Mysore graced the occasion as the guest of honour. The Officers appreciated effort of the school in inaugurating the first Girls’ Hostel amongst all 33 Sainik Schools.
In a remarkable display of talent and sportsmanship, the girl cadets of our school made their mark at the All India Sainik Schools National Games held at Sainik School Kunjupura from October 9 to 17, 2023. Despite stiff competition, our cadets showcased exceptional prowess and determination, securing the 7th position overall. Six girl cadets represented our school with pride, participating in three events and leaving an indelible mark on the national stage. Their commendable performances brought glory to our institution, demonstrating the fruits of dedication and hard work. Cadet Deepthi Devi Kammara brought laurels to the school by winning a gold medal in Long Jump at the national games whereas Cadet Saanika Uday won a silver medal in 400 Meter Run
Their outstanding achievements not only reflect their individual excellence but also underscore the collective spirit and camaraderie fostered within our school community. We applaud their dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship, which have brought honor to Sainik School Kodagu on a national platform.
The performance of girls was commendable in academics, sports, curricular and co-curricular activities in the academic year 2023-24. It is heartening moment for me for being the House Master of Rani Chennamma House. May the girl cadets excel in all walks of their life.
