JD NCC COY SAINIK SCHOOL KODAGU
NCC (Army Wing) in Sainik School Kodagu was introduced in 2011. Cadets of class VIII & IX are part of JD whereas Class XI & XII are part of SD. NCC is an integral part of the training programme as the school primarily aims to train the cadets physically and mentally to join the Defence forces in the Officer Cadre. NCC unit of the School is playing a vital role in shaping the overall personality of the cadets by inculcating the qualities of leadership, patriotism and discipline. For each and every cadet enrolled in the unit, discipline is not just an additional trait but simply a way of life.
AIM
To develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular, outlook, spirit of adventure and the ideals of selfless service amongst the youth of the country.
To create a human resource of organised, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life and be always available for the service of the Nation.
To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces.
