Report on Har Ghar Tiranga Awareness Programme to mark Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
(i) The first awareness campaign 'Tiranga Jagrukta Rally' to mark Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, was carried out on 28 Jul 2022. Cadets of Class VIII and JD/ JW NCC Company, Sainik School Kodagu marched from Sainik School Kodagu with the slogans in three languages till Kudumagaluru, Harangi diversion and back. 53 cadets, Mr Raghavendra Raje Urs B, ANO, JD/ JW NCC Company, Sainik School Kodagu, Mr Khyser Ahmed B and PI Staff were present on the occasion.
(ii) As per Para 5(d) of SS Society letter no 14(47)/SSS/2021 dated 22 Jul 22, the following contractual employees staying outside the school premises were sensitised and encouraged to hoist the National Flag at their place of residence. Academic Staff (a) Mr Shivaraj SM, TGT- Social Science and General Employees (a) Shiva Reddy (b) Suresh HV (c) Ramappa (d) Natesh (e) Dillan (f) Mahendra (g) Ganesh (h) Santosh (j) Venkatesh HR (k) Putta C (l) Mohan KA were briefed. They were also properly briefed to maintain the sanctity and follow the flag code of India.
(iii) As a part of CBSE Workshop hosted by SS Kodagu a special session regarding awareness on "Har Ghar Tiranga" was conducted on 30 Jul 22 for 60 faculty members of neighborhood schools of Kodagu district. The faculty members of following six schools attended the said session. 1. Jnanaganga Residential School, Attur, Kodagu, 2. SMS Academy of Central Education, Aramery, Kodagu, 3. ALG Crescent School, Madikeri, Kodagu, 4. Ankur Public School, Napoklu, Kodagu, 5. National Academy School, Gonikoppa, 6. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Kodagu Vidyalaya, Madikeri, Kodagu.
(iv) As a part of HGT campaign, all cadets of the school were told about the freedom fighter Pingali Venkkaya, who was the designer of Indian National Flag. It was done as a mark of rememberance on his birthday i.e., 02 Aug 2022.
